Our approach to AI

A little intelligence.
A lot of everyday use.

AI in Cuisy has a practical job: turn scattered cooking inspiration into something you can use. Here’s what the app does today and what we plan to build next.

The next chapter of Cuisy

From a saved recipe
to a week that works.

Our ambition is to connect discovering recipes, planning meals, shopping, and understanding what you eat.

These features are not available yet. Meal planning, nutrition tracking, and grocery integrations are planned directions; the ideas marked Exploring are possibilities we want to validate through prototypes and feedback.

Planned

Weekly meal planning

Build a flexible week from saved recipes, pantry ingredients, available cooking time, and household preferences. Swap a meal and adjust portions as your week changes.

Less daily deciding. More meals that fit your routine.

Planned

Calorie & macro tracking

Log meals and see estimated calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Our plan is to use food-composition data and portion calculations, with ingredient matches and serving sizes you can review and edit.

A clearer picture of what goes into your meals.

Exploring

Shopping that follows the plan

Turn a weekly meal plan into a combined shopping list, merge shared ingredients, and account for what is already in your pantry.

One useful list for the whole week.

Exploring

More possibilities for leftovers

Suggest meals around leftover portions and ingredients you mark to use soon, with substitutions for what is missing.

Make more of the food you already have.

Planned

Take your list to your grocery store

We plan to connect Cuisy’s shopping list to grocery websites and services, with suitable retailers for each supported country. Choose your country and preferred available retailer, then transfer ingredients to its shopping list or cart where supported. Review product matches, pack sizes, and substitutions before completing your purchase with the retailer.

From ingredients to groceries, with less retyping.

Our goal is an international rollout, including Türkiye. Country and retailer coverage will be confirmed as integration options are validated; no retailer connections are live yet.

This roadmap describes our direction. Scope, order, and availability will evolve as we test; release dates are not set.

What we plan to build next

Our Claude API roadmap.

Planned · Not yet released

We plan to integrate Anthropic’s Claude API into Cuisy and evaluate it for the cooking tasks below. The Claude integration is not currently part of the released app.

Clearer recipe understanding

Explore turning extracted recipe text into consistent ingredients, quantities, and ordered cooking steps.

Answers from your cookbooks

Explore answering questions using relevant passages retrieved from a user’s own uploaded PDF collection, with source references.

Meals that fit your week

Explore meal suggestions and recipe substitutions using a user's saved recipes, pantry, cooking time, and preferences, with an explanation of how each suggestion fits.

The work ahead

Connecting recipes, pantry data, meal plans, and nutrition records is our next development focus. We plan to prototype these workflows with Claude and evaluate recipe accuracy, cookbook source references, planning consistency, response time, and API cost per task before release.

For nutrition tracking, ingredient matching, food-data integration, and editable portion calculations are separate pieces we still need to build and validate. Grocery integrations will also need country-specific retailer compatibility checks, ingredient-to-product matching, and a reliable handoff for users to review.

This is a development plan, not an available feature or a release-date commitment. Mentioning Claude does not imply endorsement, partnership, or acceptance into an Anthropic program.

Keeping the cook in control

Helpful suggestions.
Your final judgment.

Review before you cook.

AI can misread a quantity or miss a step. Check ingredients, allergens, and food-safety instructions before using a recipe.

Your books stay your collection.

Cookbook search is scoped to your account. Processing uses service providers described in our Privacy Policy.

Evaluate before release.

For the planned Claude integration, we intend to compare extraction accuracy, source references, response time, and cost before deciding what to ship.

Our Privacy Policy describes current processing. We will update relevant disclosures before introducing a new AI provider into the released app.
