Delete your Cuisy account

This page explains how to delete your account in the Cuisy app (Android and iOS), how to ask us to delete it if you can no longer use the app, which data is deleted, and which data is kept and for how long.

Delete your account in the app

The fastest way. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted 30 days later. Older versions of the app delete it immediately.

Open Cuisy and sign in.
Tap your profile picture (or initials) in the top-left corner of the Kitchen, Library or Lists tab.
Scroll to the bottom of your profile and tap Delete Account.
Review what will be deleted and tap Continue to Delete.
Type DELETE and tap Delete Account. If you signed in with Apple, confirm with Apple when asked.

You are signed out on every device and the app shows the date your account will be permanently deleted. Changed your mind? Sign in with the same Google or Apple account before that date and tap Restore account: your account and the data stored on our servers come back. Data that was only on your phone was removed when you deleted the account. After that date the deletion cannot be undone. Until then, signing in with the same Google or Apple account offers to restore it; a new account with that sign-in can be created once the deletion is complete.

Have a subscription? Deleting your account does not cancel a Cuisy Premium subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Can't use the app? Ask us by email

If you uninstalled Cuisy or can't sign in, we delete your account for you.

Email tolgadev23@gmail.com with the subject Cuisy account deletion request.
Send it from the email address of your Google or Apple account that you use to sign in to Cuisy, so we can verify that the account is yours.
We confirm by email and delete the account and the data listed below within 30 days.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted (30 days after an in-app request), we permanently remove from our servers:

Your account: name, email address, sign-in identifiers and push notification token.
Your recipes, including ingredients, steps, tags and recipe images.
Your fridge items and shopping list.
Your recipe imports and AI job history (video links, scans and AI suggestions).
Your uploaded PDF cookbooks and their search index.
Your photos and uploaded files in our storage. These are removed by a background task shortly after the deletion and retried until they are gone.
Your subscription status stored by Cuisy.

The app clears your Cuisy data from the phone it was deleted on right away. If you signed in with Apple, Cuisy is removed from your Apple ID when you make the request. Once the deletion is complete, that phone gets one last notification to confirm it.

What is kept, and for how long

Data	Why	How long
Your deactivated account and everything listed above. Nobody can sign in to it or use it, and no notifications are sent to it.	So you can restore it if you change your mind.	30 days from your in-app request, then permanently deleted.
A deletion receipt: a random ID, the time of deletion and a scrambled code. It holds no name, email or content.	To confirm to the app that the deletion finished.	Kept; it cannot be linked back to you.
Subscription purchase events received from our payment provider (product, dates, store transaction IDs).	Billing records, refunds and fraud prevention.	Up to 30 days, unless the law requires longer.
Purchase and order history held by Google Play, Apple and RevenueCat.	Held by those companies under their own policies.	Under the provider's own retention policy.
Crash reports (Sentry). They are never linked to your account.	Fixing app crashes.	Deleted automatically within 90 days.
Server backups that still contain your data.	Disaster recovery only. We never restore deleted accounts from them.	Overwritten within 30 days.

Delete some data without deleting your account

Recipes: open a recipe in your Library, tap the … menu and delete it.
Fridge items: in the Kitchen tab, tap Edit, select items and delete them.
Shopping list: swipe an item in the Lists tab to delete it.

If you use Premium cloud sync, deleted items are also removed from our servers on the next sync. To have other data deleted while you keep your account, email tolgadev23@gmail.com from your sign-in email address and tell us what to delete. We handle the request within 30 days.
